LOBBY&EXHIBITION
The lobby is adorned with seasonal flowers and foliage, enhancing the ambiance of the ryokan. Through the large panoramic windows, guests can enjoy stunning views of the clear Nagara River, Mount Kinka, and Gifu Castle towering at its peak.
From May 11 to October 15, guests can also witness the 1300-year-old tradition of Ukai (cormorant fishing) from the lobby area.

At Sugiyama, we serve the male wild mallard ("Aokubi"), considered the most flavorful among wild ducks, prepared using the traditional teppan-grilling method inspired by the Imperial Hunting Grounds.
